Diego González, mestizo, natural y criollo de Jalapa, de 22 años de edad, habilitado previamente de un curador por el Alcalde Mayor don Francisco de Cervantes, se obligó a servir durante cuatro años con Melchor de los Reyes, vecino de Jalapa, para aprender el oficio de carpintería; y en ese lapso, el aprendiz se comprometió a no ausentarse de su trabajo.Melchor de los Reyes, por su parte, le dará de comer, ropa, 40 pesos al cabo de un año, y al finalizar los cuatro años, 100 pesos de oro común.
