Otorga su testamento donde declara ser soltero y no tener hijo alguno. Nombra como sus albaceas testamentarias y fideicomisarias a don Francisco Guerra y Agreda, vecino de Veracruz; en segundo a don Miguel Jacinto Marticorena, de la misma residencia y como universal heredera a su madre doña María Teresa de Murga.
