Juan Prieto Rendón, vecino del pueblo de Jalapa, natural de Jalacingo, agregado de esta jurisdicción, hijo legítimo de Jorge Prieto y de Josefa de la Oliva, difuntos, otorga su testamento donde declara lo siguiente: tiene entre sus bienes la casa en la que vive; 2 esclavos criollos llamados Juan Ventura y Pedro Advíncula, 8 bueyes mansos que tiene en arrendamiento a don Francisco Hernández, indio, Alcalde de este pueblo quien le dará 40 fanegas de maíz, 2 novillos que tiene en poder de don Juan Mateo, indio de este pueblo los cuales ha de entregarle por el mes de diciembre de este año; 250 pesos que le debe Lucas Francisco de Ayala. Declara ser casado con Mariana Josefa del Moral, quien no trajo dote alguna. Nombra como albacea testamentaria y heredera a su mujer.
