Francisco Hernández de la Higuera, residente en su ingenio nombrado Nuestra Señora de la Concepción, se obligó a pagar al Capitán Sebastián Carballo y a Gregorio González, vecinos de Angola, mercaderes de negros, y a Pedro de Vértiz[Pedro Vértiz], vecino de la nueva ciudad de Veracruz, 2 982 pesos de oro común, precio de 10 piezas de esclavos bozales, 6 varones y 4 hembras, de diferentes nombres y edades, los 5 a 315 pesos, 4 a 260, y uno en 367 pesos, en esta manera: 1 942 para fin del mes de abril de 1622 y, los 1 040 pesos restantes para fin del mes de abril de 1623, puestos en la ciudad de Veracruz.
