Para la averiguación de la muerte del indio Juan Feliciano, pareció ante el Alcalde Mayor de Jalapa, Andrés Peña, maestro herrero, vecino de este pueblo, el cual dijo haber conocido a Juan Feliciano desde que tiene uso de razón, y oyó decir que el susodicho se había ahorcado en una viga en su casa, y fue a verlo junto con otros indios y españoles; asimismo, este testigo escuchó al difunto quejarse de su mujer Marta Hernández diciendo que no la podía ver por mala.
