Don Antonio Cagigas y don Carlos Arias, de esta vecindad y comercio, dijeron que por cuanto el difunto don José Antonio Tavera, quien también fue de esta vecindad, hizo contrata ante el Ilustre Ayuntamiento para todos los bagajes que se necesitan para los militares que transitan desde esta Villa hacia Perote y Veracruz, bajo 17 condiciones que corren en el expediente formado al efecto y con las modificaciones que a ellas puso la Superioridad del Señor Virrey. Pero el contratista ha fallecido antes de obtener la superior aprobación del remate que al intento celebró, los hijos de éste, don Francisco y don Manuel Tavera, han querido abrazarla en los términos que su padre la estableció y habiéndoseles concedido por parte del mismo Ilustre Ayuntamiento, los otorgantes se constituyen como sus fiadores y principales pagadores en la expresada contrata.
