Andrés Monares de Vargas, vecino del pueblo de Jalapa, en nombre y con poder de María Gutiérrez, viuda de Fernando González, vecina de la Nueva Ciudad de la Veracruz, vende al Capitán Luis Fernández de la Flor y Pareja, Caballero de la Orden de Santiago y Alcalde Mayor de Jalapa, un mulato esclavo nombrado Manuel, de 9 a 10 años de edad más o menos que ha estado fugitivo en poder del comprador y que es el mismo que heredó en la partición de bienes que quedaron de Pedro Gutiérrez, padre legítimo del otorgante; lo vende por esclavo, cautivo, sujeto a servidumbre y sin asegurarlo de ningún vicio, defecto ni enfermedad, en 200 pesos de oro común libre de alcabala.
