Don Francisco Fernández del Águila, Gobernador, don Juan Andrés, don Diego Jiménez y don Francisco Antonio, Alcaldes, Diego Sánchez y Diego Alonso, Regidores, don Pedro Gabriel, Escribano, naturales y oficiales todos del pueblo de San Pedro Tonayán, por medio de Andrés Pérez, intérprete, dijeron que en cumplimiento de Real Cédula que dispone la fundación de escuelas con maestros que enseñen a los indios la lengua castellana, aprendan en ella la doctrina cristiana, se obligan a pagar a Pedro Calderón, vecino del pueblo de Jalapa, 100 pesos de oro común en cada año, 2 fanegas de maíz, agua, leña que fuere menester y un huevo que ha de dar cada muchacho por semana.
