Para la dicha información, el Lic. Don Juan de Bañuelos Cabeza de Vaca, tutor de los menores Don Diego Yllan de Gamboa y Doña Micaela de Gamboa, presentó por testigos a Benito de la Barrera, español, vecino de Jalapa, quien habiéndosele preguntado por el tenor de la petición, dijo que como se ha criado entre ingenios y ocupándose en su administración, sabe que el ingenio de San Sebastián Maxtlatlan está muy deteriorado y los acreedores no pueden cobrar sus réditos, ni otros sus deudas por sus cortos frutos, y que si se consigue el convenio y concierto que se intenta con Doña Ana María de Alemán Maldonado, mujer que fue de Don Fernando Ruiz de Córdoba y Arellano, cuyo ha sido el referido ingenio, y de quien la susodicha es albacea y heredera, no se duda que a los menores y a los demás acreedores del ingenio, les seguirá utilidad.
