Ante Don Gaspar de Herrera, Alcalde Mayor de Jalapa, Jacinto de Guía y Lumbe y Tomás de Guzmán, residente en esta jurisdicción, por sí, y en nombre del Capitán Antonio Beltrán, vecino de Jalacingo, registraron una mina en tierra virgen, en el paraje del pueblo de Tlatatila [Tatatila], a media legua de dicho pueblo, de oro, plata o del metal que Dios Nuestro Señor fuere servido darles, en una barranca que va para el río, y le pusieron por nombre Jesús María y José. Asimismo, registraron un ojo de agua para lavadero y demás sitios.
