El Capitán Don José de la Higuera Matamoros, Alcalde Mayor de Jalapa, dio su poder cumplido al Capitán Don Francisco García López, vecino de este pueblo, y al Alférez Antonio de Medina, vecino de Oaxaca, para que en su nombre empeñen un negro esclavo nombrado Juan de Castro, de 25 años de edad, en la cantidad de 300 pesos de oro común; y el dicho Capitán Don Francisco García López tome para sí la referida cantidad, en satisfacción y pago de otros tantos pesos que el otorgante le debe.
