El Capitán Don Francisco de la Higuera Matamoros, dueño del ingenio de La Santísima Trinidad, dio su poder cumplido al Capitán Don José de la Higuera Matamoros, Alcalde Mayor de Jalapa, y a Juan López Ruiz Matamoros, vecino de esta provincia, para que en su nombre puedan administrar el dicho ingenio y hacienda de ganado mayor nombrada Cempoala, que está en la jurisdicción de La Antigua Veracruz, poniendo y quitando mozos, por los tiempos, precios y salarios que les parecieren, ajusten sus cuentas, las aprueben o adicionen en todo; compren o vendan esclavos, ganados y otros cualesquier géneros.
