Antonio de Herrera Povas y Pereira, mercader y vecino de este pueblo de Jalapa, hijo legítimo de Don Antonio de Herrera Povas y de Doña María Juana de Pereira, difuntos y vecinos que fueron de la Alverca, Obispado de la Guardia en el Reino de Portugal junto a la Extremadura; casado con Petrona Josefa de Castro, su legítima mujer, hija legítima de Diego de Castro y de Ana María de Chávez y Peña, vecinos de este pueblo de Jalapa, se otorgan poder para testar y nombramiento de albaceas en compañía de los Alférez Don Gregorio Fernández Mantilla y Laureano Fernández de Ulloa, así como tutores y curadores de los hijos, que el señor Pereyra tuvo en su primer matrimonio con Doña Inés González, difunta; sus hijos son Pedro Antonio de 5 años, Antonio de 2 años y José Joaquín de 1 año, a quienes nombran herederos universales.
