Don Liborio Clausell, del Comercio de España, residente Jalapa, exhibió escritura hecha en Cádiz el 21 de abril de 1779, por la que consta que don Juan Antonio Herrero y don Sebastián Herrero se obligaron a pagar al otorgante la cantidad de 10, 950 pesos que a riesgo de mar le suplió don Bartolomé Naranjo, con la expresa condición de que si se declarase guerra u hostilidades entre cualquier otra potencia marítima de Europa, habían de abonar en su nombra un 15 % sobre el principal, razón por la cual Liborio otorga que ha recibido los 12, 450 pesos por concepto de principal más el 15 % acordado, de lo que entrega cancelación.
