El Capitán Don Francisco de la Higuera Matamoros, dueño de este ingenio, revocó el poder dado al Capitán Diego de Sanabria Sepúlveda, mercader, vecino de la ciudad de México, y otros a diferentes personas; y ahora dio su poder cumplido a su tío el Lic. Don Diego Fernández de la Higuera, domiciliario del Arzobispado de la ciudad de México, y al Doctor Don Antonio Caravallo Dávila, abogado de la Real Audiencia de dicha ciudad, para en la aprehensión, tenencia, y posesión, ajuste y entero del mayorazgo que posee como llamado a él por muerte de su padre el Capitán Don Sebastián de la Higuera Matamoros. Y generalmente, para en todos sus pleitos, causas y negocios civiles y criminales que al presente tiene o adelante tuviere.
