Juan Cid, juez de ingenios en la provincia de Jalapa, se obligó a sacar una licencia del Marqués de Guadalcazar, Virrey de Nueva España, para que Francisco Pérez Romero pueda sembrar caña de azúcar y beneficiaria en su ingenio, sirviéndose de los indios laboríos voluntarios, según se acostumbra en las haciendas con la obligación de pagar al referido juez, doscientos pesos de oro común.
