El Capitán Don Francisco de la Higuera Matamoros, propietario del ingenio La Santísima Trinidad, y como patrón de las capellanías de misas que fundaron Antonio Pérez y su mujer, una de 1500 pesos impuesta sobre las casas de Nicolás de Valdivia, escribano de la ciudad de Los Ángeles; y otra de 500 pesos, impuesta en casas que posee Antonio Correa en dicha ciudad; y por haber tenido noticia del fallecimiento del capellán Lic. Andrés Suárez de Arce, presbítero, nombró por capellán propietario de las citadas capellanías al Bachiller Nicolás Álvarez, clérigo de menores órdenes domiciliario de este obispado.
