Capitán Don Francisco de la Higuera Matamoros, dueño del ingenio La Santísima Trinidad, y como patrón de dos capellanías que fundaron Don Antonio Pérez y su mujer, la una de 2500 pesos, impuestos sobre las casas de Nicolás de Valdivia, escribano público de la ciudad de Los Ángeles; y la otra, 500 pesos, impuestos en una casa que posee Antonio Correa en dicha ciudad, nombró como capellán propietario de ellas al Bachiller Nicolás Álvarez, clérigo de menores órdenes, domiciliario de la ciudad de Puebla de los Ángeles, para que después de la muerte de Lic. Andrés Suárez de Arce, actual capellán que se halla muy enfermo, la sirva por todos los días de su vida.
