Don José Miguel de Iriarte y Lezeta, dueño de hacienda en la jurisdicción de Jalapa y vecino de este pueblo, dijo que don Martín de Aguirre, del Comercio de España, le otorgó poder general el 26 de mayo de 1779 en la Ciudad de México, por lo que substituye dicho poder en don Juan Esteban de Elías, del Comercio de España y residente en la ciudad de Veracruz, para que en su representación cumpla sus peticiones según el poder general que el otorgante hace.
