El Capitán José de Hoz Escalante, Alcalde Mayor y Capitán de Guerra en Jalapa, dijo que Jalacingo dista 14 leguas de Jalapa y para la buena administración de las reales justicias nombra, en virtud de la real facultad que tiene, a Antonio de Corta como Subteniente General, en lugar de Santiago Álvarez Ramírez, quien no puede asistir a su administración. Dicho nombramiento se otorga para que pueda conocer todas las causas civiles y criminales de oficio de la Real Justicia como a pedimento de las partes.
