Juan Arias, residente en el ingenio La Santísima Trinidad, en esta jurisdicción, dio su poder cumplido al Contador Don Juan Blázquez[Juan Blázquez Mayoalgo], juez oficial real en la nueva ciudad de Veracruz, y al padre Rector de la Compañía de Jesús Diego González, que reside en esa ciudad, generalmente para en todos sus pleitos, causas civiles y criminales, y para que puedan recibir y cobrar cualesquier pesos de oro, joyas, esclavos, mercaderías y otros géneros; especialmente para que puedan vender cualesquiera de sus bienes, señaladamente, un esclavo negro llamado Felipe de la Cruz, de tierra Mozambique, por el precio que hallaren.
