Don José María Cardeña y Gallardo, Subteniente del Regimiento de Infantería Provincial de las 3 villas, hallándose acantonado en esta Villa de Xalapa, otorga poder especial a don Francisco Maniau y Torquemada, vecino de la Ciudad de México, para que en su nombre comparezca en el Juzgado General de Bienes de Difuntos de este reino, en la Real Audiencia, donde siga y termine la pretensión que tiene hecha al remate de los bienes de su difunto padre don Miguel Eustaquio de Cardeña, el cual se llevó a cabo sin la presencia del otorgante.
