Fernando del Castillo, carpintero, y Martín López de la Plaza, como administrador del ingenio de Alonso de Villanueva, se concertaron en esta manera: Fernando del Castillo se obligó a descubrir y a reparar la casa de purgar del dicho ingenio, cambiando las vigas, maderas, planchas, y todo lo que fuere menester; Martín López, por su parte, se obligó a darle la cal, el ladrillo y la clavazón que necesitare, así como seis indios, medio carnero y medio cuarto de vaca, cada semana; 6 botijas de miel, en todo el tiempo que durare la obra, y le pagará 1 500 pesos de oro común por su trabajo, a ciertos plazos.
