Don Lorenzo Rodríguez, gobernador del pueblo de San Pedro Chiconquiaco; sus alcaldes Don Lucas Hernández y Pedro Rodríguez; regidores Jerónimo Vázquez y Pedro Francisco, y otros oficiales de república, dijeron que por real cédula de Su Majestad se mandó poner maestros de escuela en los pueblos de esta jurisdicción, y en su cumplimiento, la justicia de Jalapa les puso por maestro a Don Juan Gómez, vecino de Naolinco, al precio de 180 pesos de oro común anuales, durante los próximos tres años; con más 12 fanegas de maíz en cada uno.
