Don Mariano de Campo, de esta vecindad y comercio, ha recibido de don Andrés Gil de la Torre, vecino y del comercio de la Ciudad de Veracruz, por hacerle bien y buena obra la cantidad 4 000 pesos, cuya cantidad se obliga a tener en su poder sin causa de réditos y por espacio de 5 años, como seguro de la deuda hipoteca una casa ubicada en la Calle Real de este pueblo de Xalapa, cuya finca solo se haya afecta con 1 000 pesos a favor de la Cofradía de Nuestra Señora del Carmen de esta iglesia parroquial.
