Para la dicha información, el alcalde Mayor de Jalapa, Don Juan de Fuica Lezama, recibió el juramento de Francisco Martínez, labrador, dueño de recua, vecino de Jalapa, y preguntando por el tenor del pedimento de Don Sebastián de la Higuera Matamoros, dijo que si los herederos quisieran vender las tierras no les darían más de 4000 pesos, y serían en pro y útil de todos el que las traspasaran en Don José de Ceballos y Burgos, a cuenta de sus legítimas.
