Francisco López de Castro, hijo de los difuntos Bartolomé López y de Antonia de Castro, natural de la ciudad de Córdoba del reino de Andalucía, otorga poder para testar a don Antonio Merino y a don José María Alfaro, vecinos del pueblo de Jalapa, para que ordenen su testamento, en donde declara sea sepultado en la iglesia; por bienes suyos señala la casa de su morada junto con su ajuar y tienda mestiza, libres de empeño, es soltero y no tiene herederos forzosos, señala tiene en su compañía un hijo natural, nombrado Miguel López de Castro, cuya madre por su reputación, no puede declarar; nombra heredero a su hijo, y por tutor y curador a Antonio Merino y a José María Alfaro.
