Bartolomé de Contreras, vecino de esta provincia, en virtud de que Juan Bautista Forniel, mercader, vecino de Jalapa, otorgó una carta de compañía por 500 pesos de oro común, con Pedro Navarro, criado de don Andrés Pérez de la Higuera, y porque el susodicho le pide fianza de que Juan Bautista no se ausentará; el citado Bartolomé de Contreras, haciendo de deuda ajena suya propia, se obligó a que Juan Bautista Forniel no se ausentará sin antes haber pagado los referidos 500 pesos de oro común.
