El Capitán Don Nicolás Alejandro de Meza, Alcalde Mayor de Jalapa y de Jalacingo, dijo que por cuanto tenía nombrado por Teniente General en esta jurisdicción a Don Juan de Medina Caraveo, pero no usa su cargo;y en atención a la facultad que Su Majestad le concede por su real título, nombró como Teniente General a Don Juan de la Fuente, español, natural de los reinos de Castilla, para que pueda alzar vara de la real justicia y con ella entre a cualesquier pueblos, ingenios, trapiches, ranchos y demás partes y lugares de esta jurisdicción; asimismo, para que en sus ausencias, conozca de todas las causas civiles y criminales que para la buena administración de la real justicia requiera.
