Don Francisco Hernández, Gobernador del pueblo de Ixhuacán de los Reyes, dijo sin intérprete por ser ladino, que en cumplimiento y continuación de lo que se tiene mandado sobre las escuelas que debe haber en todos los pueblos para que los naturales aprendan la lengua castellana, han buscado a don Lázaro Domingo, obligándose a pagarle 50 pesos por año, más 12 fanegas de maíz en cada año, un huevo los viernes de cada semana por muchacho, y el maestro se obliga a enseñarles la lengua castellana, la doctrina cristiana, a leer y escribir por 3 horas en la mañana y 3 en la tarde por 4 años.
