El Capitán Don Nicolás Flores Altamirano, dueño de este ingenio, dijo que su suegro Don José de Ceballos y Burgos por cláusula de un poder para hacer su testamento, fechado el 23 de julio de 1671 en el ingenio Nuestra Señora del Rosario y Tenampa, le nombró su albacea junto con otras personas, y por estar muy ocupado en este ingenio y otras haciendas, con cuidado de deudas que le afligen, donde le era forzoso asistir personalmente, atento a lo cual, se desistió del albaceazgo porque no puede cumplir con él, y consintió que las demás personas nombradas lo usen libremente.
