El Bachiller Don Miguel Pérez de Medina, cura beneficiado de Jalapa, dio su poder cumplido a Don Domingo Alonso de Castañeda y al Capitán Don Luis de Padilla Pla y Guzmán, vecinos de la Villa de Madrid, para que en su nombre presenten ante Su Majestad y su Real Consejo de Indias, los testimonios de los puestos que ha obtenido de cura vicario, coadjutor interino y propietario de Jalapa, donde actualmente se halla, y supliquen le sea concedida una de las prebendas que están vacas o vacaren de la Santa Catedral de la ciudad de la Puebla de los Ángeles o de la metropolitana de la ciudad de México; y hecha la merced, que se les despache la real cédula en toda forma por duplicado, y la remitan con todo lo demás a ella concerniente.
