Juan Matías Vicioso, vecino de este pueblo, otorga poder general a José Díaz de Guitian, junto con Juan de Olaziregui, Francisco Ventura de Rezabal ó Antonio de la Luz y Francisco Antonio Basave, vecinos de la Habana, para que demanden y cobren judicialmente, cualquier cantidad de dinero, joyas, oro, y otros efectos que haya embarcado por cuenta propia y de sus interesados en la flota que fue a cargo de Rodrigo de Torres y Morales, la cual naufragó en el Canal de las Bahamas.
