Juan de la Gala Moreno, vecino de Jalapa, hace espera en forma a Doña Josefa de Irala y Arellano, mujer legítima del Capitán don Sebastián de la Higuera Matamoros, dueño de ingenio de hacer azúcar, de 1800 pesos de oro común que el dicho Capitán está debiendo a los bienes de Bartolomé Jiménez, cirujano, ya difunto, según parece por su testamento que otorgó ante el Capitán Don Juan de Vértiz, Alcalde Mayor que fue de Jalapa, el 20 de agosto de 1654 en consideración a que los ingenios están decaídos y tienen muchas deudas, por tiempo de 6 años, a partir de cuando la Real Audiencia despache a Doña Josefa de Irala y Arellano la real provisión para que administre los ingenios de su esposo.
