Don Bernardo Antonio de Portas, Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, natural de la Villa de Pontevedra, reino de Galicia en España y residente en Jalapa, otorga su testamento donde declara fue casado en primeras nupcias con doña Rosa María Seares, difunta, y en segundas nupcias con doña María Antonia Soto Carrillo y Monterde, a la cual nombra albacea testamentaria, junto con el Bachiller don José Ignacio Pérez del Pozo, a don Bernardo Francisco de Portas y Seares, su hijo legítimo del primer matrimonio y a don Francisco de Esain y Orta, su principal casero, y como heredero universal a su mencionado hijo legítimo.
