Doña Antonia Josefa Serdán Ponce de León, mujer de don Nicolás Manuel Fernández, vecina de este pueblo de Jalapa, dijo que entre los bienes que heredó de su difunto padre don Miguel Ponce de León, se encuentra una negrita nombrada María Ana Luciana Vicenta, negra atesada, de estatura baja, no muy gruesa, de buen rostro, ojos y dientes blancos, pelo muy apretado y rizo, de 30 años de edad, que compró su padre a don Francisco Muñiz, Capitán del Castillo de San Juan de Ulúa, a la que liberta de toda servidumbre y cautiverio, en remuneración de sus buenos servicios.
