Don Teobaldo de Gorráez y Viamonte, en nombre de su madre Doña Gracia María López de Eraso [Haro], pidió al Reverendo padre Guardián del Convento de San Francisco de Jalapa, Fray José de Ayala, reciba en depósito el cuerpo de su padre el Maestre de Campo Don Francisco de Gorráez y Viamonte para sepultarlo en la iglesia de dicho convento, y que cuando los familiares del difunto lo dispongan, puedan sacar su cuerpo o sus huesos para trasladarlos a uno de sus entierros en el reino de Castilla.
