El Capitán Don Sebastián de la Higuera Matamoros, dueño de sus ingenios en esta provincia, dio su poder cumplido al Capitán Antonio Hernández de Mancilla, Alcalde Mayor de Jalapa, y a Doña Gerónima de Espinosa Bonifaz, vecina de la ciudad de México, para que lo puedan obligar como su fiador hasta en la cantidad de 4 000 pesos en los 20 000 que se le mandan afianzar en el remate que se ha hecho a la dicha Doña Gerónima del ingenio y haciendas de ganado mayor que quedaron por fin y muerte del Regidor Don Luis Pacho Mejía.
