Don Luis Antonio Ortiz de Zárate, vecino del pueblo de Jalapa, arrendatario de los 2 Mayorazgos de don José Leonel Gómez de Cervantes y la Higuera, que se compone de las haciendas de ganado mayor Santa Fe Moreno y Buenavista, ubicada en la jurisdicción de la Antigua y la Nueva Veracruz, y la segunda del ingenio El Grande y El Chico, el cual comienza en esta jurisdicción de Jalapa y llega hasta el de La Antigua Veracruz, con sus haciendas de Cempoala y la de Trasquila, nombrada La Higuera, ubicada en la jurisdicción de San Salvador El Seco, de la provincia de Tepeaca, las cuales ha arrendado por el tiempo de 9 años. Así también da en subarrendamiento la venta de Plan del Río a don Bartolomé de la Riva, vecino de la venta de Rinconada, por el tiempo de 5 años, con una paga de 100 pesos en cada año.
