El Capitán Don Fernando de Valdéz y Portugal, Alcalde Mayor que fue de esta jurisdicción, vecino de la provincia de Huejotzingo, dio su poder cumplido a su hermano el Doctor Don Pedro de Valdéz y Portugal, Clérigo, Présbitero, Abogado de la Real Audiencia de la ciudad de México; y a Francisco de Jaén, vecino de dicha ciudad, para que en su nombre y por lo que le toca en razón de los arrendamientos de unas casas que al otorgante y a su hermano les dejó el Lic. Don Diego Marín del Riego, en la calle del Reloj de dicha ciudad, con el Doctor Don Manuel Escalante y Mendoza, Oidor de la Real Audiencia de México; ajusten y liquiden los arrendamientos con su señoría; asimismo, les dio poder para que las arrienden de nuevo.
