Bernardo de Arcia, vecino de Huejotzingo, mayordomo de la recua de Bartolomé de Uribe, que de presente va cargada para la ciudad de México, dijo que hallándose en la Venta de Los Naranjos, cuatro indios de su servicio hirieron a Juan López, indio de la recua de Alonso Núñez de la Cerda; intervino la Justicia de Jalapa, y para evitar mayores problemas, haciendo de deuda ajena suya propia, se obligó a pagar al referido Alonso Núñez, 65 pesos de oro común que su criado Juan López le debe, sólo en caso de que muera por las heridas recibidas, y a darle un indio cargador para el avío de su recua, de no hacerlo, le pagará todos los gastos y menoscabos que tuviere.
