Francisco Luis, vecino de Jalapa, dueño de una sementera de maíz, teniendo necesidad de peones para limpiarla acudió al fiscal de este pueblo Don Francisco Jiménez y con intervención de Fray Francisco Díaz, guardián predicador del Convento San Francisco, se convino con ellos para que le diesen 100 indios peones en un día y 50 sucesivamente para beneficiar la sementera, los cuales ha de pagar con su trabajo el dicho fiscal, y Francisco Luis se obligó a dar de limosna 150 fanegas de maíz al citado monasterio, para fines de enero de 1635.
