Don Juan Diego, gobernador actual del pueblo de Xicochimalco; sus alcaldes Don Gaspar Hernández y Don Francisco Juan; regidores Francisco Antonio y Diego Luis; alguacil mayor José de la Cruz; escribano Pascual Juan, dijeron que por cuanto Su Majestad por real cédula mandó se pongan maestros de escuela en los pueblos de esta jurisdicción y en su cumplimiento, la justicia de Jalapa les eligió por maestro de su pueblo a Francisco Nicolás, español, vecino de Jalapa, por tiempo de cuatro años, a partir del 23 del presente, al precio de 200 pesos de oro común anuales, 12 fanegas de maíz en cada uno, y un huevo el viernes y otro el sábado, por cada muchacha o muchacho a la semana.
