Don Antonio Jerónimo, Gobernador del pueblo de Chapultepec, Domingo Hernández y Sebastián Juan, Alcaldes, Antonio Diego y Felipe de Mendoza, Regidores; y Juan Mendoza, Escribano, por medio de Andrés Pérez, intérprete, dijeron que en cumplimiento de Real Cédula que dispone la fundación de escuelas con maestros que enseñen a los indios la lengua castellana, aprendan en ella la doctrina cristiana, a leer y escribir, han convenido con Agustín Grajales, vecino de la jurisdicción de Jalapa, para que les asista en ese ministerio por 4 años, pagándole 70 pesos, le han de sembrar media cuartilla de maíz, y cada muchacho le ha de llevar 2 huevos cada semana.
