Don Juan Montañés de la Cueva, vecino de este pueblo de Jalapa, Escribano Público Real y de cabildo de la Nueva Ciudad de la Veracruz, informa que por motivos que justificó ante el Supremo Gobierno, se le concedió facultad para ejercer dicho oficio por Sustituto o Teniente, por lo que otorga poder especial a don José Díaz de Guitián, para que en su nombre comparezca ante el Rey Nuestro Señor y en su Real y Supremo Consejo de Indias, demás tribunales, jueces y justicias, eclesiásticas y seculares, para confirmar y aprobar dicho nombramiento.
