Doña María de Estupiñán, vecina de Jalapa, dijo que en su testamento le dejó algunos legados a Doña Gertrudis de la Gala Thormes, de 15 años de edad, entre ellos una esclava y diferentes alhajas, pero como ha vendido y se le han deteriorado algunas de ellas, por la presente, hace gracia y donación a la susodicha de una cama de granadillo, ropa de cama, ropa para dama, joyas, y una mulata de 12 años de edad llamada Josefa, hija legítima de Francisco Rengel, mulato libre, y de Micaela Gutiérrez, mulata blanca, esclava de la otorgante, nacida en su casa.
