Doña Marta de Vargas, soltera, vecina de Jalapa, vende a Diego de Vera, vecino de la hacienda de Buenavista, en la jurisdicción de La Antigua Veracruz, una esclava negra nombrada María, criolla de la nueva Veracruz, de 21 años de edad, que hubo y compró de Juan de la Gala Moreno, vecino de Jalapa, aunque la escritura dada fue a favor de Don Carlos de Sámano y Quiñones, éste, por cláusula de su testamento declaró pertenecerle a la otorgante; libre de censo, hipoteca y otra enajenación, sin asegurarla de ninguna enfermedad, por el precio de 400 pesos de oro común.
