Don José Antonio de Bárcena y Bárcena, natural de Abionzo en el Valle de Carriedo, Obispado de Santander, vecino y del comercio de esta Villa, hijo legítimo de los difuntos don Francisco Matías de Bárcena, y de doña Micaela de Bárcena, otorga su testamento y declara ser casado con doña Gabriela de Bárcena y Zugadi, quien tenía el capital que consta en el libro de cuentas, y él alrededor de 10 mil pesos, procrearon 2 hijos. Nombra albacea y curadora ad bona de sus hijos, en primer lugar a su esposa, en segundo a su hermano don Juan Francisco de Bárcena, y en tercero de mancomún acuerdo a don Tomás Pérez y a don Rafael Campero, para que efectúen las disposiciones que se mencionan en la escritura.
