Don José de Ceballos y Burgos, dueño del ingenio, dio en arrendamiento a Juan de Chávez, vecino de esta provincia, un rancho (San Sebastián) con todas las tierras, aguas, entradas y salidas de su propiedad; el cual linda por una parte con tierras del pueblo de Naolingo; y de la otra, en la banda del sur y del poniente, con tierras del otorgante, por tiempo de 6 años, a partir del 1° de enero de 1643, en el precio de 220 pesos de oro común en el primer año, y 200 pesos en cada 1 de los 5 años restantes, adelantados.
