El Licenciado don Ramón Ruiz, Abogado de la Real Audiencia de México, residente en esta Villa de Xalapa, otorga poder general a don Marcelo Álvarez, Procurador del Número de la Real Audiencia, para que en su nombre cobre todas las cantidades de dinero, oro, plata u otros bienes que le deban. Y especialmente para que comparezca ante la Real Audiencia y mejore el recurso de apelación que tiene interpuesto ante el subdelegado de esta Villa, en el expediente que ha promovido don Manuel de Goiri, por haber desalojado al otorgante de la casa que en arrendamiento ocupó. Además para que lo represente y defienda en todos sus pleitos, causas y negocios civiles o criminales eclesiásticos o seculares.
